Drawing Snake Specimens/Masks
I drew this snake skin from the Grant Museum into the fabric of Fredrics hat.

The patient Fredric is from the Republic of Congo and remembered masks and rituals through his drawings.

Some of Fredrics Drawings had animal spirits, chimerical men and snakes emerging from human heads. Here I am drawing this snake skeleton emerging from the head within the portrait.
Drawing at the Grant Museum, 11/08/09
The Grant Museum of Zoology and Comparative Anatomy at University College London have a great selection of animal specimens that are available to draw from by appointment. I went there to draw animals that relate medically(historical ideas) and metaphorically to Fredric.
